“I Don’t Wanna…You Can’t Make Me!” with Rebecca Walters
October 13, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - October 15, 2017 @ 4:00 pmS$500 – S$760
Together we will explore what resistance is, how it gets in the way, how it serves us and how we can help our clients move beyond it.
This two-and-a-half day action-workshop covers psychodrama and sociodrama interventions that go with the resistance, honour our client’s defences and are attuned to sociometry, creating the safety that helps change barriers into open doors.
“Resistance means merely that the protagonist does not wish to participate in the production” – J. L. Moreno
The methods taught here will encourage individuals and groups to warm up to spontaneity, healing and change. This workshop will integrate concepts from Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change.
This workshop is especially useful for those working with adolescents, the chemically dependent and clients who act out. More Info:
Participants will learn and practice through action:
- Sociometric exercises that that increase group cohesion and safety
- The use of the Psychodramatic ‘Empty Chair’
