PGG Womens’ Group: Finding My Inner Calm

Personal Re-empowerment Group for Women
This personal growth group for Women Only will help you explore your strengths and find your own path to grow in more freedom and effectiveness at work, play or life in general.
This ongoing group will run for eight consecutive weeks every Friday from 6:30-9:30 pm.
Each session will build on the work done in previous sessions. Each group member is an agent for change and the group dynamic creates an atmosphere that encourages spontaneity and new personal breakthroughs!
Using the action methods of Psychodrama, Sociodrama, Role Training and Sociometry, discover how you can overcome challenges to self-development and personal growth. Come play and get creative using your feminine energy!
Dates: Starting January 11th 2019 for 8 weeks
Price: $350 (early bird) before December 5th 2018
              $400 after December 5th 2018


Sharmini Winslow is the Director of Psychodrama Singapore under the auspices of Promises Healthcare.

Her passion for a creative movement and people led her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in University of California, and Masters in Counselling in Monash University. She is also an expert Pilates trainer with 20 years of experience under her belt. Currently, Sharmini is a Psychodramatist with over 900 hours of Psychodrama training with the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute and AANZPA (Aoteora Australian and New Zealand Psychodrama Association).

Her experience in the fields of the Performing Arts and Counselling aided her in developing a dynamic and innovative form of Experiential Therapy.  Her work experience includes running therapy workshops and trainings for:

• Raffles Counselling Centre,
• The We Care Centre,
• Singapore General Hospital,
• KK Hospital,
• The Rainbow Centre,
• Executives in Corporations and Banks
• Breast Cancer Foundation
• Dayspring Girls’ Home
• Jamiyah Childrens’ Home
• Singapore Girl’s Home
• The Ministry of Education
• LaSalle College of the Arts.

Sharmini’s work includes stress management, altering perspectives, grief work and catharsis of emotions. Her work with clients who have mood disorders incorporates developing self-awareness and motivation for self efficacy and self healing. She facilitates 12-Step recovery and Motivational Interviewing in her work with addicts. Her work with Relationship Trauma Repair has helped facilitate healing for many of her clients using a multi-sensory approach.

Her workshop “Life is a Dance When You Do the Steps” was included at an International conference in Scotland. Sharmini’s eclectic style of counselling and therapy in her Personal Growth Groups and Addiction Groups includes elements of Psychodrama, Sociodrama, Role Training, play and the creative arts. Other workshops she facilitates are “Spirituality and the Steps”, “The Sobriety Shop” and “All in the Family”.
